A Message From Our Pastor

Luke 1:46-52 46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

Dear reader, I trust you can say with Mary, as my soul also echoes, “For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.” This is true, not just of Mary, but of every child of God. He has adopted us out of the fallen, broken family of Adam, into the glorious, righteous family of the God of Heaven and of his Son Jesus Christ. He did this by his marvelous grace, and it is not given due to any work on our part. This rings true in Titus 3:5: “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”

It is my wonderful privilege to pastor a loving flock that believes these truths. Truth is an uncomfortable concept in our world today, but truth is vital, beautiful, and necessary to navigate through this low ground of sin and sorrow, and to do so “with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

If you have a sincere desire for truth, and you can say with us, “For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name,” then we welcome you to come worship with us on Sunday mornings at 10:30.

May our God richly bless you!
